Village-Wide Rummage Sale In Suttons Bay This Weekend Benefits The Friendship Community Center

The Friendship Community Center is hosting a village-wide rummage sale in Suttons Bay on Saturday, July 17 and Sunday, July 18. A central tent will be placed at the ice hockey rink in Suttons Bay,selling items that have been donated to the event and several residents in the village will be hosting garage sales on behalf of the organization simultaneously.

“This community event will be a fun way to see your neighbors and support the community center and youth!” says Rebekah TenBrink, executive director of the Center and founder of LIFT Teen Center.

The funding will be used to support the programs offered at the Center, including LIFT Teen Center, as well as provide for some much-needed repairs to their 160-year-old facilities.

Item donations will be accepted between 3pm and 7pm on Friday, July 16th at The Center, 201 W. Broadway Street in Suttons Bay. Local residents and visitors can shop the central rummage sale tent on Saturday, July 17 between 8am and 4pm and on Sunday, July 18 between 10am and and 1pm.

The Friendship Community Center is a gathering space committed to enriching and strengthening multigenerational and multicultural relationships in Leelanau County. LIFT Teen Center is a program of The Friendship Community Center that works specifically to empower youth to and encourage them to become kind leaders by investing in their evolution, autonomy, and character.
