The Leelanau Ticker is back with a look at the most alarming, offbeat, or otherwise newsworthy calls to the Leelanau Office of Emergency Management/911 dispatch. The following is excerpted from the September 24 to September 30 call reports.

1:32pm 9/24/2024 Suspicious Incident Suttons Bay Twp., Caller reporting a possible bullet hole in the bathroom wall. Her husband heard a small pow this morning around 9:30 and when caller got home to look around that is what she found. 

2:38am 9/25/2024 Suspicious Incident Suttons Bay Twp., Caller thinks she heard someone try to get into her house. No cars should be there. Checked the area, unable to locate. 

3:35pm 9/25/2024 Trespassing Cedar, Owner says employee arrived for work intoxicated, wants him trespassed from the establishment. 

2:14am 9/26/2024 Operating While Intoxicated S Center Hwy., Caller hit a power line, believes she maybe fell asleep. On sobrieties.

8:25am 9/26/2024 Trespassing Leelanau Twp., Says he has seen a person on his Ring camera walking dogs on his property the last three mornings. Spoke to the caller, because the animals are leashed it’s a trespassing complaint. Caller is requesting additional patrols and if seen to inform the person of the property boundaries. 

10:21am 9/26/2024 Civil Suttons Bay Twp., Neighbor driving tractor on his property, ongoing issue, believes he's doing it deliberately. 

7:36pm 9/26/2024 Suspicious Incident Northport, Caller is reporting a bunch of people standing by the ATM and thinks it is suspicious. Crowd has dispersed. 

1:58pm 9/27/2024 Trespassing Lake Leelanau, Moving company came to put stuff in storage. Woman on lower deck perched there with sleeping bag and dog. She was still there when they left. Making contact with female, got her off the property and taking her to park where her vehicle is.

2:54am 9/28/2024 Suspicious Incident Lake Leelanau, Caller is reporting a man wearing only his underwear carrying his pants, looks like he may also have blood on his head. Walking eastbound. 

7:35pm 9/28/2024 Citizen Assist Leelanau Twp., Caller is requesting a deputy to unlock the door to upper balcony. The door closed and locked behind him while they were enjoying the nice weather. 

12:44am 9/29/2024 Unknown Problem Leelanau Cty., Caller is reporting that they found a man stumbling around, they were giving him a ride home, he jumped out of the golf cart, he is now sleeping on the side of the road. Wearing a gray sweatshirt. 

9:09pm 9/29/2024 Suspicious Activity W Front St., Caller is reporting some suspicious activity occurring around the gas station. There is a van hanging around, 9-10 people coming in and out of store hanging out in bathroom for 20+ minutes and going across the street to the motel. Ford expedition black.

10:16pm 9/29/2024 Noise Elmwood Twp., Caller’s neighbor right across the street is blowing leaves, has been doing it for the past 2-3 nights.

4:29am 9/30/2024 Suspicious Person Suttons Bay Twp., Caller is reporting a male was sleeping on his porch with a tall boy, left on foot.
