First Annual Herman Park Easter Egg Hunt Fundraiser Set For Saturday
By Craig Manning | April 18, 2025
Looking for Easter Weekend plans in Leelanau County? Tomorrow (Saturday) marks the first annual Herman Park Easter Egg Hunt Fundraiser in Suttons Bay. The event will feature an egg hunt, prizes, and an appearance by the Easter Bunny. Festivities start at 10am, with the Easter egg hunt set to kick off at 10:30am. Kids 0-12 are welcome to participate in the hunt.
While the event itself is free to attend, organizers are asking attendees to contribute donations to support the eventual construction of a new playground at Herman Park. According to Liz Mahaney, who helped bring a dog park to Herman Park a few years ago, a group is “kicking off and just getting organized” for the playground project, with Saturday’s Easter event marking the start of fundraising efforts.
