Leelanau Home Prices Hit Another New High

With 43 home sales in October for a total sales volume of $32,688,200, Leelanau County hit a new average high for the month of $760,190. The number of homes sold is the fewest dating back to the sales of 40 homes in 2018, while the average surpasses the previous high of $751,158 set in 2022. Those figures speak to the continued desirability of homes and the concurrent lack of homes for sale.
That is backed up by the fact there were 317 homes sold through the first ten months in the county, just barely down from last year’s 322 and the 323 of 2022. The last three years are all the lowest since 309 back in 2012.

The year-to-date average of $805,155 is the highest on record, easily surpassing last year’s $740,600. The median price of $575,000, based on overall sales of $255,234,368, is also the highest on record, besting the $556,500 set last year on sales of $238,473,407. Those trends are similar to those of the five counties, where the year-to-date average is also the highest on record, at $547,320, besting last year’s $504,660.
