Leelanau Conservancy Kicks Off 2025 Wildflower Rescue Program
The Leelanau Conservancy's Wildflower Rescue Program will have its annual kickoff on Wednesday, April 9 at the Old Art Building in Leland.
The program works to save native plants from destruction due to construction projects or other disturbances. Aside from saving plants, the program works to educate the public about the value of the plants to the forest and as part of ecosystems.
The kickoff meeting will have a presentation about northern michigan native plants and pollinators by Garret Noyes and Blythe Webster of Birdsfoot Native Nursery. RSVP here for the kickoff or to indicate how you can help the program in the coming months.
